Electric Tools
Electric tools are very useful in the garden, but safety is a great concern. Whatever equipment you are using, it pays to use a Residual Current Device. These devices measure the current in the inward and outward lines, should there be any imbalance between the two it cuts off the supply.
For those persons who make their own compost a Shredder is a very useful tool, it will reduced weeds and shrub waste to go into the compost bin.

A Strimmer (common name) can reduce the time taken to cut weeds and grass in awkward areas. Care needs to be taken regarding debris being thrown to a distance. I was in my metal shed one day when I heard small stones and pieces of wood hitting the side of it, my neighbour was strimming, there was a thorn hedge between us, which is very thin at the bottom as it is 7 metres high. He was wearing all the protective gear, but had made no attempt to protect anyone else.
